About Us

Henwood Barns is believed to be part of a former farm development dating from 1809- 1841. The cottages have been converted over the years and all retain unique original features.

We are a family run business, with members of three generations contributing to the running of the complex. We guarantee you a warm friendly welcome from the family and every help we can provide during your stay with us.

Becca, Gary and thier family live in one of the cottages on site so can be close at hand if you require any assistance.

How to find us

A38 from Plymouth

Exit the A38 at Liskeard. (A390 Liskeard). At the roundabout take the second exit. Keep in the right hand lane (not the left hand lane otherwise you will return to the A38). At the next roundabout take the third exit continuing on the A390. Continue on this road passing Morrisons on your left and at the next roundabout take the second exit continuing on the A390. Proceed along this road passing Aldi on your right until you get to another roundabout at which you need to take the first left signposted Liskeard Town Centre, Pensilva ( B3254 ) . After the BP garage turn right at the mini roundabout, signposted for St Cleer/Pensilva (B3254).

Continue along the B3254 passing Pensilva and Upton Cross. After the village of Upton Cross you go down a steep hill into Darley Ford (approx 5 miles from Liskeard) When you reach Darley Ford Garage on your left, take a sharp left turn. Follow this road to Henwood. (Please use caution as there are some narrow sections and sharp bends.) When you reach Henwood Village turn right at the telephone box. Continue up the hill past a row of cottages , take the second right along the top of a small grassed area and then almost immediately right again. Henwood Barns is directly ahead of you.

A38 from Bodmin

Exit the A38 at the second Liskeard junction (A390/Island Shop). At the roundabout take the first exit. At the next roundabout take the fourth exit (A390) . Proceed along this road passing Aldi on your right until you get to another roundabout at which you need to take the first left signposted Liskeard Town Centre, Pensilva ( B3254 ) . After the BP garage turn right at the mini roundabout, signposted for St Cleer/Pensilva (B3254).

Continue along the B3254 passing Pensilva and Upton Cross. A30 from Exeter

Turn off the A30 at Launceston signposted Liskeard A390 and keep in the left hand lane. At the roundabout take the second exit to South Petherwin (B3254). This road will take you along narrow and twisty lanes with passing places for about 9 miles - please take care.  There is a cross roads at Congdon’s Shop about half way along where you need to stop and cross straight over. After about 20 minutes driving you will descend in to Darley passing Darley Farm on your right hand side.Keep going on the main road until you get to Darley Ford Garage on your right. Just in front of the garage is a turning to the right to Henwood. (Please use caution as there are some narrow sections and sharp bends.) When you reach Henwood Village turn right at the telephone box. A30 from Bodmin
